Military Surplus Rifles
If you're looking for a good, reliable Rifle from the military, check out a military surplus rifle. There are many types, sizes, shapes, and force to research. A good military rifle should be clean, dust free, and have the same sharp qualities of your old trusty M-1 or AR-15 military rifle... depending of course, when and what branch of the military you served with
Surplus rifles are trustworthy
Now days in the Navy Special Forces, the military rifle of choice is the M4. When I was in, the weapon of choice was the trusty and light-weight AR-15. You could fit a nice M-79 under the barrel to pack that extra kiss to the target of opportunity if needed. There aren't too many surplus rifles from the 90's and later, due to high demand and needs of the current military. I will always choose the AR-15 over the M-16 due to less jamming and the durability, especially in the water.
Surplus bullets and ammunition
Check any military surplus ammunition that you purchase, on or offline. If the powder has been wet, there's a good chance that the ammunition military surplus is toast, not going to work. You may be firing off a few rounds here and there but if your bullets aren't trust worthy, you're not going to be around long. Its a good practice to check your surplus military rifles for sale and your army surplus ammunition before you take it out of the store. Look for a seal and make sure they haven't been tampered with!
