Large Pore Minimizing

Pore Minimizing Myths

People are often discouraged to discover that although there is an entire industry devoted to pore minimizing products, we are actually unable to change the size of our pores. Our pore size is determined by our genetics and unfortunately there is no way to open or close your pores with any product or technique. What products can offer is to minimize the appearance of your pores. This is accomplished by keeping your face looking healthy, smoothing it’s texture, cleaning pores, and reducing oil and breakouts. However, you don’t need an expensive skin product to have healthy looking skin. A simple daily regimen that you are consistent with will help reduce breakouts and clean pores deep down. If you find after properly caring for your skin for several weeks that you are not seeing an improvement, adding specialized pore minimizing products may help you achieve the results you’re looking for more effectively.

Pore Minimizing Product Alternatives

In order to properly care for your skin, you want to keep it well hydrated while simultaneously removing excess dead skin cells and reducing oil production. This can be accomplished in three steps.

  • Wash your face 3 times per day with a gentle pore cleanser. Don’t exceed three washing per day as this can cause your face to dry out triggering extra oil to be released.
  • Utilize an exfoliating scrub designed for oily skin at least 3-4 times a week. If you have the time, daily exfoliation will reduce breakouts.
  • Moisturize after every washing or exfoliation. Keeping your skin moist and hydrated is the key to reducing the “greasy” look that makes pores stand out.

You may also find that targeting your large pores with products like nose pore cleansing strips will make your pores appear larger at first, but will look smaller over time.
